R & J Butchers are a family farm and butcher based in Nidderdale, working with an informal co-operative of farmers from across the Yorkshire Dales, Moors, and Vales. Their family has farmed in Yorkshire since the 1850s, and that heritage underpins everything they do.

Their farming follows a low-and-slow approach, with grass-fed and free-range livestock, combined with traditional and contemporary hanging and curing techniques. This care and patience are what truly set them apart from ordinary butchers.

Having worked with R & J across previous kitchens and businesses, we trust their quality completely. Their meat forms a proud part of our menu — properly sourced, responsibly farmed, and full of flavour.
